Mike measured and cut the backer board since it was very heavy and dusty. I measured and cut all the green board. We managed to get the entire area covered before heading off to our friends' housewarming party. Here's some pix from the installation

Stupid slanted ceiling was a pain in the butt
Sunday we got up early again and figured out the game plan for putting up the tile. Neither of us had ever done it before and I wanted it to be perfect. It took about 4 1/2 hours, including the trip Mike made to my dad's for his wet saw, my trip to Home Depot for a few small supplies, and an early dinner/ late lunch. Once I figured out that the walls are neither flat nor square with one another I was able to adjust my measurements and lay the tile. It came out pretty darn good I must say! We were only able to get the big wall done since Mike has to work tonight at 10 and needed to sleep for a bit. We have a plan to get the ceiling painted, the rest of the dry wall done, and the tiles done before I go in and paint all the walls next weekend. All we'll need then is the new floor and vanity...which can wait until the nursery is done. Speaking for the nursery...the Heating/ AC people are coming with the contract for us to sign on Wed. !!! WOO HOO!!!! They're going to do our electrical box first then the Heating/ AC install! As soon as that's all done Mike can finish the nursery. I've only got about 8 weeks left until Dilly's arrival so I hope it all goes smoothly. I am really excited about painting his room and decorating it. I just hope I'll be able to before he comes!!!
Here's the pix of our bathroom so far...
8 mos. pregnant and tiling a bathroom!
Here's the first finished wall... I love it!!!
Congratulations on a job well done for both of you! The tile looks great. I especially like the middle decorative trim. And I'm glad you guys were able to figure out a way to get the A/C electrical stuff worked out. Positive thoughts beget positive outcomes! Yaaaaaayyy!
